You are at Pebble Beach, but don't be fooled by the beautiful fairways and breathtaking scenery. The first hole is a 427 yard par 4, and there are plenty of roughs and water between you and the pin. With lifelike animation patterned after the pros, and numerous strategy options, MEAN 18 ULTIMATE GOLF will sharpen your golf skills and possibly help your real-life game!
In the beginning, you can select to shoot from either the pro or regulation tee. You can also decide whether the game will be stroke or match play, or if you will play or the expert mode.

Mean 18 wurde 1986 von Accolade für Amiga, Atari ST und MS-DOS auf den Markt gebracht, 1988 folgte eine Version für den Apple IIgs.
Die im Spiel verwendeten Golfplätze sind Pebble Beach Golf Links in Pebble Beach, Kalifornien sowie The Royal and Ancient Golf Club of St Andrews in Schottland.
